The Raytown School District is pleased to announce its Attend to Win attendance incentive. At the end of the school year, sophomores, juniors, and seniors at Raytown High School and Raytown South High School who achieve an average attendance rate of 95 percent or higher will be entered in a drawing to receive a brand new Ford Focus (one at each high school).

Each month a student achieves an attendance rate of 95 percent or higher, their name will go into the drawing for the car; a student can earn up to seven entries from September 1 through April 30. A monthly drawing for a 50-dollar gift card will also take place at each high school for all grades as an incentive to achieve excellent attendance.

“I am excited to provide this opportunity to our students, and I am even more excited to see the results, said Superintendent Dr. Allan Markley.” “Research shows that students with good attendance often achieve higher grades and test scores and are often more successful in post-secondary pursuits due to the academic, social, and discipline skills developed during the school day.”

The winner of the car at each high school will be announced on Friday, May 12, the last day for seniors. Students must be present to win. The program is made possible due to a partnership with Raytown’s Dick Smith Ford.
