Brooke Rohlfing, Assistant Director of Communications and Community Relations, was recently recognized as one of the National School Public Relations Association’s 35 under 35.

The honor recognizes new leaders in school public relations who are making a difference in their school district or education-related organization.

“Brooke is an integral part of the Communications team,” Director of Communications Danielle Nixon said. "She has a very diverse skill set, and since starting in June, she has hit the ground running.”

Rohlfing assists with all aspects of internal and external communication for the District including written, digital, and social media. She also serves as a representative for the District in the community and was recently appointed as the Community Service Chair for the Raytown Rotary Club.

“Building positive relationships with students, patrons, and her peers is easy for Brooke because she makes work enjoyable.  Positivity is a very important skill in school public relations,” Nixon said.

Rohlfing received her Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication from Missouri Southern State University and her Master of Arts in Communication from Missouri State University. Prior to Raytown, she served as the Broadcast Production Specialist for the Park Hill School District.

“It is such an honor to be recognized among this year’s group of 35 under 35 professionals,” Rohlfing said. “I truly love my role as a school public relations professional, and I look forward to improving upon my skills and growing as a leader.”

Each awardee’s profile will be featured in NSPRA’s e-newsletters during a span of 35 weeks in 2017. The awardees also receive a $100 discount for NSPRA’s Annual Seminar to be held in San Antonio, Texas this July.
